There was a clash in between protesters and cops in Portland on Friday as the #BlackLivesMatter got in day 56.
The federal representatives fired tear gas cylinders at the protesters as they collected at midnight, Reuters reported.
The protesters stated they were hit with projectiles and lasers as the federal agents pressed them back up a block from the federal courthouse.
Journalists were likewise not spared from the attack.
Security forces have regularly tear-gassed and clubbed demonstrators during the discontent.
The U.S. Justice Department said on Thursday it would examine using force by federal representatives in Portland after another night of unrest in which Mayor Ted Wheeler was tear-gassed.
Previously on Thursday, a federal judge issued a momentary limiting order barring federal police from utilizing force against journalists and legal observers at the Portland demonstrations.
